Lakewood Urban Centre — long known as Lakewood Suburban Centre — is a southeast Saskatoon neighbourhood with a different shape from most of the city. It is a mixed-development area made up largely of medium and high-density multiple-unit dwellings alongside commercial and civic facilities, and residential construction only began in 2003 once the infrastructure was in.
